I work on one problem: why capable organizations, holding good information, still make slow or inconsistent decisions—and what to change so they stop.
My background is finance and operations—controller and CFO roles, board-facing work, and the unglamorous mechanics of getting decisions made and then actually executed. Healthcare gave me a lot of the hardest examples: regulated, high-stakes, politically complex, and unforgiving about ambiguity in who decides what. But the failure patterns were never industry-specific.
That work became the COGNIVARA™ Method. COGNIVARA™ takes its name from the Latin cognoscere—to know, to discern. The COGNIVARA™ Method is an executive intelligence methodology for turning information into judgment, judgment into decisions, and decisions into execution.
I publish the work in the open as Field Notes—short, argued pieces tied to a specific part of the method rather than general commentary. Some of it will end up in longer form. What holds up in practice becomes a framework; what doesn't gets revised in public.
